Android closed beta

Help shape Get a Grip.

Your daily finger-training routine, live force feedback and workout history. Free, open source, and built for Android 12 or later.

The Play release is being prepared

You can join the tester group now. Installation will become available after the release has been submitted and approved by Google. Joining the group alone does not install the app or opt you into the Play test.

  1. Join the tester group

Use the same Google account you use in the Play Store on your Android phone. Open the group and choose Join group. If Google asks for an email subscription, you can choose No email.

  2. Opt in on Google Play

Once the beta is available, open the link below with that same account and choose Become a tester. Then follow Google’s link to install Get a Grip.

Google Play opt-in link — pending release approval

An unavailable-app message is expected while the release is being prepared. After release, allow time for new group membership to reach Google Play.

  3. Try your routine and send feedback

Use Settings → Support in the app to report a bug or request a feature. A Tindeq Progressor provides live force readings; timer-only sessions and demo mode work without a gauge. Other supported gauges are marked experimental.

Your group membership

The group grants beta access. Only its owner can view the member list, member email addresses, conversations or post. Google processes membership under its own privacy policy. The owner can see the profile information and email address you use to join; no training history is needed. Leave the group through Google Groups whenever you like. You can separately leave the test on Google Play.

Beta software may have bugs. Export records you want to keep before changing installations. Training data does not automatically sync between Android and iPhone.
